He DID NOT want to leave Vietnam and did not want to shatter the CIA into a million pieces. He had 3 years to do it, and he didn't. In fact he expanded the CIA's operations, especially in Cuba (Bobby was point man getting rid of Castro even after the missile crisis) and Vietnam. LBJ did not reverse Kennedy's withdrawl. No doctor testified that he turned JFK over to see the back of his head. They spent every micro-second with him face-up trying to save his life for 22 minutes. When they pronounced him dead, no doctor asked Jackie, "do you mind if we flip him over and do our own amateur autopsy..."? No. Once he was given last rights and pronounced dead, the family took possession. You can argue that this was no legal etc, but the SS team and Jackie were pissed that this happened in the deep south and probably thought it was a rednecked racist who did it and wanted him out of there. It turns out that Dr Earl Rose, the local coroner ended up as one of the 9 experts on the HSCA panel which was unanimous that Oswald shot him twice from behind and those were the only shots to hit JFK. I can run down all the findings of the autopsy if you want...there are many conclusive facts. And before you hand wave away the WC or autopsy, note this: the HSCA, a separate, independent investigation of hundreds of experts, confirmed ALL the conclusions of the Warren report, AND found no fraud or cover-up in the autopsy, ballistics, backyard photos, fingerprints, handwriting etc.Both reports are available free online. Most conspiracy buffs who take the time and effort to read them don't subscribe to conspiracy much longer. Like me. Read something outside your conspiracy bubble. I didn't for 30 years. Now I know better

McClelland and Crenshaw did not see the wound in the throat before it had been obliterated by the tracheotomy incision. Perry later admitted that the wound could have been one of exit and said that he believed that it was.

@@samganos709 read Larry Sturdivan's book JFK Myths. He was ballistics expert and physicist on HSCA. The momentum from high power rifle can't move a head more than fraction of an inch and doesn't move a body anywhere. MythBusters episodes available on youtube prove this. The only place a person gets thrown 'back and to the left' is in Hollywood movies. It was a total neuromuscular spasm that threw him backward.

Something else you don't know is that a whole 2nd independent investigation consisting of hundreds of people and tons of experts re-examined the case and the WR in 1976-78 and the HSCA confirmed ALL of the WR findings and conclusions, plus they found conclusively no fraud or cover-up in the autopsy or anywhere in the WC. The one thing they got wrong (and proven wrong by the National Academy of Sciences - another wholly independent investigating body) was the dictabelt recording which changed the HSCA's final sentence which was that there 'probably was a 2nd shooter, therefore conspiracy'. But that last sentence was false, proven by the NAS. They said 'no sound of any gun fire'. The recording came from a police bike waiting at the Trade Mart. So if you take HSCA's final draft report done on Dec 23, 1978, before the dictabelt recording, their conclusion was Oswald did the shooting, no conspiracy. Both reports are available free online. Time to do some reading.

The movie was what started the process of getting the records released early.

Dean Andrews also confided to Harold Weisberg that Clay Shaw was Clay Bertrand.
Andrews lost his law license and spent 18 months in prison for perjury related to his misidentification of Clay Bertrand.
Shaw committed perjury on the witness stand on at least four different questions, and was identified by Richard Helms as a CIA asset.

He took some liberties. All directors do. He explained that at the time of release. It was not a documentary. Mr. Stone has done way more research on this case than people realize, AFTER the movie came out, and is STILL working on it, which is more than I can say for his critics.

Pick up the new book by Marc Selverstone called 'The Kennedy Withdrawl'. It proves conclusively through internal WH documents and WH tape recordings, that JFK did not want to pull out (and used occasional posturing to influence the public and Diem) and was fully supportive of the CIA and military. Therefore Oliver Stone and 98% of all conspiracy buffs have no leg to stand on for their grand, dark conspiracy.
