My criticism is on both. The adaptation from manga isn’t good as these people are saying because just one search for first chapter shows how badly adapted these fights were done.
And the animation looking so mid. Mid means average. Best comparison I can get is One Punch Man S2, literally same type but some don’t realise that. Would like to add that the composition is bad
Now for what kind of animation do I want to accept it not being mid? Before answering that, Kaguya Sama has better animation than this… Even rent a girl from same studio looks and has better animation… And those are just rom-com with no action. One of them is them (rent a girlfriend) is the meaning of trash story and characters. If you don’t see a problem with that, I don’t know what to tell you.
But for action purposes, assassination classroom is my expectation, even then you would expect that too big maybe. Even Soul eaters, it’s not like I am asking Dandadan animation eventhough this should have gotten it. I amnot asking as high as Demon Slayer or JJK2. Those points are only brought up by the ones dismissing the criticism to begin with.
I would even say Eminence in Shadow or do you think that’s way too high also?
Btw I said studios who aren’t big for a reason because if I give big, it will be dismissed. But hey let’s put another animes this studio did better: Dr Stone, Baki, Detective Conan.
| @Confused_100 The One Punch Man Season 2 comparison makes some sense when thinking about fan disappointment and disgust... but that season also had the misfortune of coming after one of the best animated shows around. I consider Kaguya-sama's animation extremely good, and it would be unreasonable to ask many shows to match that level. I remember Rent-a-girlfriend (Season 1 at least) having just okay animation; not really on the level of this show (the art was very good, though). Having said that... I see what you mean with Eminence in Shadow. I've only seen a few scenes, and they looked surprisingly high-quality. But to be honest I feel it's not that big an improvement over what we've got this episode. I'm sure there's a right balance to hit between top-tier shows and the current version of Sakamoto Days (just episode 1, mind you), but I also feel that zone is pretty narrow; we're almost there, just not quite. |

For the love of god stop the bs. This episode had a LOT of sakuga and yet you whine like a baby. Most animes can pray they get this animation. Acting like it's the biggest piece of shit out there while it isn't.

If that is what you call sakuga, I don't even wanna know. | I would also retire for a woman like that 😍 I like how Sakamoto immediately began to kill those guys, no remorse, I thought he was going to be the typical "I was an assassin but now no more, I'll never kill again" kind of character, hell no, this dude must and will protect the ones he loves, that's awesome. This is going to be fun! I don't know anything about this but I'm sold on it. For me it feels like John Wick mixed with Spy X Family, love it! |

| I am glad Kobeni settled down with John Wick. We can look forward to enjoying something like Spy x Family, it would seem, even more so since Shin has the same ability as Anya, though psychics don't seem to be much of a secret here. |

This gif goes dummy. Show is fire. Cant wait to learn more about hitman skills/ types. Fight choreography is dope and silly. Bullet into the cough drop was fire. The music kinda hitting at times too. This shit got style and heart.  |

| fun premise, I liked the first episode... the action is good, and the slice of life moments too... will follow just find a little weird the scene after Shin was rescued by Sakamoto and he was there, all impressed saying something like "so this is the legendary Sakamoto"... dude, didn't you worked with him on his days of glory? ^^' ps: reading the comments, seems like there's a lot of controversy about the animation that I'm not aware of... I'm glad to be kinda alienated in this sense... avoiding the fandom drama |

The animation is good and the music choice is also good between action sequences. The animation is not as fluid as it should have been or it's just hyped by the manga readers so much that we just expected something truly "A game changer". The backstory is good but it does not hold any suspense or hook to keep us into it. It just keeps going and at the end it is just a normal series... i am giving this a 4 star for now as it's just the first episode... Peace ✌️ |

| I haven't read the manga, so I don't know if people have found it bland in comparison or not. But oh my goodness, I didn't have any expectations going into it, but coming out of it I enjoyed it a lot more than I had given it credit for. This gives me the same vibes as Spy x Family but with a very different overall premise. It has the same level of familial love and community-building while showcasing the action and the gritty aspects of being an ex-gang member. The comedy isn't cheesy and the tone of the show is soft with sudden suspenseful action sequences. It's intriguing and hooks you from the start. It's very fun to watch, and hopefully, it stays that way. This is very much a "chill back and just grab some snacks and enjoy the ride" type of watch, and I'm glad to have another one of these shows back on air. |

| a good start! Made me laugh a few times and it was enjoyable. Can't wait to see what else Sakamoto will be involved in as the plot progresses. The esper seems cool but I think that he'll be the one leading the next plot events, since Sakamoto is a silent protagonist obviously obsessed with keeping his current life peaceful. I haven't read the manga yet (have been wanting to for a while) but I won't let the quality of the production of the anime affect eventually reading it. |

| Everything is good actually, the animation, the soundtrack, the story.. except for only one. It's the anime art or the colouring is so bland... OP is okay for the first time listening to it, while ED is still wondering if it's okay for my taste. Sakamoto is so badass, no wonder Shin admire him. Sakamoto is a silent type dude, wonder how he made his wife actually accepting marrying him. Shin is a good character too, with his special power... Wonder if other character have a power too.. |
